Considering the current favorable regulatory, monetary, and cyclical conditions, it is estimated that approximately $520 billion in fresh capital could flow into Bitcoin in 2025. In this context, it is logical to predict that capital inflow into Bitcoin will continue in 2025.
The magnitude of capital inflow into Bitcoin is measured using the realized capitalization metric, which measures the total dollar value of all bitcoins at their last on-chain transaction. The following graph, showing Bitcoin’s realized capitalization since 2015 (denoted in purple), indicates an increase during each bull cycle as new capital enters the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Particularly, there was a total influx of $86 billion from 2015 to 2018, followed by a significant increase of $384 billion from 2019 to 2021, and an even more significant increase of $440 billion from the second half of 2022 to 2025. The capital increase is particularly rapid in the last year of each Bitcoin cycle, notably in 2017 and 2021. This situation strengthens the belief that Bitcoin could experience a similar capital inflow in 2025 as well.
